examplary 13-days-trip to the south
Day 1 – Drive south via Butajira and visit the Archaeological site of Tiya Steals the grave marks of ancient Gurage people then proceed to Arbaminch. Overnight Basha Pension.
Day 2 – Morning drive to Chencha and visit the traditional Dorze village afterwards back to Arbaminch then proceedto lake Chamo and cross the lake to the other side of the Lake to Nech Sar Park do some hikking through the park see some zebras and also see the crocodile market, hippos and riftvalley birds afterwards back to Arbaminch. Over night Bash pension.
Day 3 – Morning drive to Konso and visit the traditional village of Konso, Tracces, New York and beautiful market of Konso at Fasha village. Overnight Konso Green Hotel.
Day 4 – Morning drive to Turmi on the way visit ARBORE village then proceed to Turmi overnight Mango campingsite.
Day 5 – Morning drive to Omorate and cross the Omo river by traditional boat and visit the Dassanech tribe on the other side of the river afterwards back to Turmi. Overnight Turmi Hamer Village Camping Stay with the family have coffee ceremony.
Day 6 – Morning drive to korcho and visit the traditional Karo village at KORCHO then drive to Jinka via Alduba and vis the colorful market of Bana tribes then proceed to jinka. Overnight NASA pension.
Day 7 – Morning drive to Mago park and visit the local MURSI village afterwards back to jinka after lunch do some walking through Ari Village around jinka see some cultural activities like blacksmith, pottery making and also the south Omo reserch Center. Overnight jinka NASA pension
Day 8 – Early morning drive to Yabelo in afternoon drive to Created lake called Chew Bet where the Borana people dive in to the lake and take out Black salt and load on dankys and export to Kenya and Somali. Overnight Yabelo Hawi pension.
Day 9 – Drive from Yabelo to Yirgalem. Overnight sidama hotel
Day 10 – Morning half day walking through Sidama village and see their village Coffee plantation and coffee ceremony in the afternoon drive to Awasaa. Overnight Awassa Osis international hotel.
Day 11 – Morning visit the fish market in Awassa thendrive to Bale mountains and visit Dinsho see wild Animals, mountain Nyala which is endemic to Ethiopia. Warthogs, Bushbacks and baboons. Overnight Robe pension.
Day 12 – Morning drive around Bale mountains up to Senete pelatue to spot Ethiopia wlof. Afterwards drive to Langano. Overnight Sabana Lodge.
Day 13 – Langano – Addis, End of the tour.
